All our teachers bring their own unique teaching styles, life experience, gifts of wisdom and sequencing patterns to each class. These descriptions are a guideline, however as you experience the classes on offer at Bloom Holistic Collective, we urge you to attend classes from as many teachers as you can, to feel into their differences and the beauty each offer.
Warm Slow Flow
Warm Slow Flow yoga is the sweet-spot between Hot Vinyasa and Yin. Expect a meditative flow that encourages you to slow down, tune in and find a different kind of energy. In the morning classes you can expect a slightly stronger practise, to leave you feeling grounded for the day ahead, whereas the evening classes are slower. Experience the power of mindful movement and breath. Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners, slow flow yoga will soothe, strengthen, and stretch, and leave you feeling totally at peace. *Warm classes are heated to approx 27 degrees celcius, please bring a waterbottle.
Vinyin-ers are grinners! Let the yin balance the yang as this class combines the flow of vinyasa followed by the deep, satisfying stretch of yin. Half an hour of each ensures you leave this class with a sense of balance, your body both strengthened and stretched, your mind cleansed and calm. The collaboration and contrast of the styles in a vinyin class will open the body and allow for a deeper practice - seriously, you’ll be showing off those pearly whites by the end of it!
Yin day is treat day - for your body and mind. Feel those stress levels go down as your flexibility goes up! In yin yoga we hold the poses for longer to allow the body to release into the posture and, just as importantly, to let the mind settle. In a yin class, props are your best friend, and we have a range of bolsters, blocks and straps to make each pose work for you.
Let your inhales and exhales guide your practice as you align and unwind with the beautiful balance of Hatha yoga. Hatha is a traditional, well-rounded style of yoga, so you’ll start the class with breathing and meditation and move into stretching, strengthening and standing postures. There might be a couple of balances and an inversion thrown in for good measure - here at Bloom Holistic we always try and keep you on your (yogi) toes! *Hot Hatha is heated to approx 35 degrees celcius, please bring a water bottle and towel.
Kundalini Move & Meditate
Kundalini Yoga is known as the yoga of awareness. During the hour you will be gently guided through a half hour practice which will incorporate breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body-locks and postures, to gain a strong immune and nervous system, vital glands, and good circulation. It brings balance to the body, mind and soul. We will finish with a 30 minute guided deep relaxation where all you have to do is lie down and be comfortable. Be prepared to leave with a more balanced and calmer mind.
Vinyasa Flow/Hot Vinyasa
Connect your breath and body. Still your mind through movement. Salute the sun as you stretch and strengthen. Vinyasa is a flowing style of yoga that uses the breath to guide each transition. Each and every vinyasa class is unique, with a new creative sequence to practice every time you visit. Vinyasa will strengthen and tone your body, improve flexibility, promote mind and body connectedness, and test your balance. Hot Vinyasa is heated to approx 35 degrees it will cleanse impurities from the body, detoxify your cells and deepen your practice.
