The world we live in is not conducive of much slowness. Our schedules often permeate every aspect of our lives - and are not just related to work or study. They are based around parenting, 'wifing', managing the household, social activities, after-school activities, being a good friend/sister/daughter/lover/accountant/counsellor..... and the list of 'hats' goes on.
Our days can be filled with over a hundred demands and requirements - and what are we left with at the end?
Our burnt-out selves.
But how long can we do this for? Why, in fact, do we even do this? (Usually the word 'should' is present here).
Why do we struggle to have better boundaries and the ability to speak up for what we want and need?
Perhaps, we have done this for so long, we don't even know what we want or need... (but we know something has to change)
