FAQ's
Do I need to bring a mat to class?
We prefer you to bring your own mat, however we do have Hire Mats available for $2 per use, with the proceeds going to a local charity. These must be wiped down thoroughly after your use with Disinfecting Spray and/or wipes that are provided.
What time should I arrive for class?
It is recommended you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class where possible, for a few reasons. Not only will it help you secure a car park, use locker and bathroom facilities as needed, find your space in the Studio room and speak with your teacher if needed - but is also ensures you will be settled and ready in the right mindset for your practice. For safety and security, and to preserve the meditative presence in the studio, late arrivals will not be admitted and you may be locked out for security reasons.
For your first visit, please arrive 15 minutes prior to class so we can show you around the studio and help you get settled into the space as well as answer any of your yoga and mat pilates related questions.
What else should I bring to class?
Please bring a water bottle, towel if you are likely to sweat a lot or are attending a Hot or Warm class. If you feel the cold, especially in Yin practice or the savasana at the end of class, you are welcome to bring a jumper and socks to the studio.
What should I NOT take to class?
We aim to keep the studio space clean, tidy and distraction-free for your practice, so please follow these instructions:
Do I need to Book for Class?
Yes, it is recommended you book for class to secure your spot. Walk-ins are accepted provided there is room available.
Hygiene Measures:
If I am new, what should I tell my teacher?
Please tell your teacher if you are new to either Yoga, Pilates or Meditation. They will then be able to ensure you are supported throughout the class and take a moment at the end to tell them how your experience was. Even the most experienced students have days when they struggle on the mat, so don't ever feel like you are not "enough" in any way! We are all on our journey and no place is better than the next.
What if I can't stay for the entire class?
We encourage you to stay for the full practice including savasana - your body, mind & soul will thank you!
If you are feeling overwhelmed during class, please sit quietly to calm and regulate yourself - child's pose is an excellent pose for this - and if you feel ready to, join in again. For safety & security it is best you stay in the studio room where the instructor is.
We acknowledge that sometimes you may need to finish your practice early, in which case, for safety & security, please inform your instructor beforehand and locate yourself by the studio door for an easy exit that won't disrupt other practitioners.
After my practice....
Please disinfect any items you have used during practice such as Hire Mats & Props with the Disinfecting Spray. Place items away neatly, ready for the next person to use.
